All our page template pages come in two parts, the page area<\/strong> and the widget area.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To set up the page area, here\u2019s how to do that. (Remember: If you imported demo content, this was already set up for you.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Create a new page by going to Pages<\/strong> and click Add New<\/strong>.<\/li>
  2. In the far righthand corner under Page Attributes<\/strong> locate Templates<\/strong> (for 5.8 and above, simply look for Template<\/strong>).<\/li>
  3. From the dropdown menu, select About Page Template.<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Ta da! You\u2019re done.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Note:<\/strong> If the demo has a subhead or excerpt near the title, you can change that in page edit mode. Simply locate \u201cExcerpt\u201d in the bottom right-hand part of the menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Start editing the page by typing your text in the Gutenberg editor. You can add anything you want in this body. To add a featured image, locate \u201cFeatured image\u201d<\/strong> in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Widgets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      In the demo, the About page includes two widgets, the Mission Statement<\/strong> widget and the Instagram <\/strong>widget. To add these widgets to your site, click on Customize <\/strong>in your admin bar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Next, click on Widgets<\/strong> and select About Page<\/strong>. From here, you can add any widgets you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
