Introducing…WordPress Simple Themes

One of our biggest priorities when we build a theme is to make it stupidly easy to use. Most WordPress themes require a lot of setup: you have to install this plugin, turn this page on, move this widget into this area, etc. I once had a client tell me they purchased a theme that came with Photoshop templates that they had to edit and upload themselves in order to recreate the theme’s demo. That’s insane.

Although none of our themes are that cumbersome to set up, it did give us an idea — what if there’s a way to make theme installation even easier?

For the past few weeks, we’ve been testing a new, simpler type of theme that sets itself up automatically, and we’re excited to announce that the new themes are now available! Say hello to JellyBean and Blue Poppy, the first in a new line of “simple” WordPress themes.

What makes our simple themes so easy to use is its “drag & drag” homepage, which is generated automatically upon activation. Simply change the colors, fonts, homepage layout order, and you’re ready to go. It honestly doesn’t get any easier!

Although our larger themes have tons of customization options, allowing users to truly create whatever they want, not everyone wants or needs all those functionalities. According to some feedback we’ve received, some users simply want a site that looks just like the demo. They want to turn it on, upload a logo, maybe change a color or two, and start blogging. These simple themes are designed just for them.
